Seek Fulfillment and Contentment not Just Happiness

I am considering writing my memoir. When I share my stories with people, they have said, "You write it -- I'll read it."  I recently went through yet another breakup. People who know me know I've been through the ringer when it comes to men. I've learned some unhappy life lessons, but mostly I've recognized that my ideas about the world were colored by MY values. The problem is, I compromised my values to be in relationships where I attracted narcissistic personalities. In fact, the word narcissism was only a concept I read about in mythology about Narcissist who fell so in love with his own image in the pond, he drowned.   I dated a man we'll call Ryan, which isn't his real name, but for my blog's purpose we'll keep his alias. I adored him until I didn't anymore. Trying to figure out fact from fiction with him was difficult. He's not the first liar, but he's definitely the last.  Today, I am single, happy, and dating. I'm vibra...

September 15 launches National Hispanic Heritage Month, and new book celebrates the culture and its rich history. MONTGOMERY, Alabama – A celebration of the Latino and Hispanic cultures   and contributions to the USA and the world began September 15 through October 15 to highlight diversity, culture, and traditions. The new book Queen of the Flowers – Memories of a Puerto Rican Girl released just in time to recognize the island’s culture and history through author Delia Cerpa’s deft storytelling about her childhood memories growing up in this tropical paradise. “National Hispanic Heritage Month gives all people of Latin and Hispanic cultures an opportunity to share their unique experiences to enrich society’s knowledge about who they are their traditions and contributions ,” said Cerpa. “My book offers readers an insight into my childhood years during the 1940s-1950s to talk about my experiences, family life, and culture from a bygone era.” Schools all over the USA...

Queen of the Flowers: New Release

PRESERVING PUERTO RICO’S HISTORY New book Queen of the Flowers – Memories of a Puerto Rican Girl recounts the way the country used to be long before Hurricane Maria destroyed it. MONTGOMERY, Alabama – In 2018 Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico and destroyed over 70,000 houses and damaged 300,000 more. Much of the historical structures and countryside were flattened and left in ruins. In her new book Queen of the Flowers: Memories of a Puerto Rican Girl , author Delia Cerpa preserves the island’s culture and history through her deft storytelling about her childhood memories growing up in this tropical paradise. Cerpa even pays homage to the island by including her concerns over family members during the horrific hurricane. She has a deep respect for her fellow Puerto Ricans. Writing the book about her childhood years during the 1950s gave her an opportunity to share with the world her experiences, family life, and culture from a bygone era. “Over the...

New 3L Publishing Book: In the Footsteps of Greatness

Image
I love this cover image! One of the latest titles coming off press this month is a personal favorite titled In the Footsteps of Greatness . Since I am the publisher my critique of the book wouldn't seem credible, but I will say I really enjoyed working on this project and felt inspired by Josh's word on a daily basis.  I think you will really love this inward and outward journey. Here is information: “Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.” – Marianne Williamson Those words have always resonated with the softly strumming chords of my soul. It is so much easier for me to be not quite good enough and to remain wrapped in the snug cloak of angst. My life was littered with the wreckage of self-imposed roadblocks. But I didn’t want to be that man anymore, and I could see my light shining up ahead, just waiting for me to step into it. I realized that I had just arrived at the moment this trip was des...
