Why Niche Books are Long-Term Sellers

Many people propose niche books and mistakenly believe it might not sell. Here is what I've discovered about niche books. Unless the niche is super narrow (think of niche like only girls with authentic pink hair will read it), a niche book has long-term viability and typically enjoys a long sales cycle. Why? Because niche books usually have little if any competition. I'll give an example. The book is about ultra-distance triathlons (we're talking thousands of miles of biking, cycling and swimming). How many people do you know who participate in these events? Except for Wayne I can't say anyone else. Wayne, on the other hand, flies all over the world to participate in these events, and he is constantly promoting his company Race Twitch . Three Things You Didn't Know 3L Publishing Offers

3L Publishing didn't start as a publishing company. We began as a marketing, PR and custom publication provider. What many people don't know about 3L is that we provide a number of services way beyond just publishing. Even some of our own clients don't often realize that they can actually get all of their marketing and PR needs served under one umbrella. Here are three things we do that the average prospective or current customers often doesn't realize. We've been building websites since the Web was born. We still do stand-alone websites outside of just author sites too. We recently built our travel agent client's website for a World Less Traveled . We will be building a Nu You by Julie, an alternative health and wellness site, in the coming months. If you need a website, check ou...

Without complete transparency, the client only sees that maybe they got one request for a book review. Our methods keep our clients involved and aware of our process so that there is no question of the time and resources invested in moving their projects forward with the media. Our key campaigns under way right now are showing those results. Each week on each project, we pitch and receive requests to review the books pitched. So for example, this week the book Daughter of the Caribbean received three requests to see the book, and two requests to discuss an interview with the ...
